Man shot at neighbour's house and police

A 60-year-old man been arrested by police after shots were hears in Skutskär south of Gävle late on Friday night, Swedish Television News reports. The neighbours have called the police after a house had been shot at. When police arrive to speak to the neighbour, a man came out with a rifle. He shot twice towards the police, who then fired a warning shot. After reinforcement from other police districts, negotiations and a further warning shot the man eventually dropped the rifle and handed himself over to the police.

"It was dramatic. The scene is now cordoned off for forensic investigation," Christer Nordström at Uppsala Police told SVT.

The man is now in custody, on suspicion of attempted murder and of causing danger to other. He is not earlier known by police. No-one got injured during the events.
