Man guilty of Boden murder

The 22 year-old suspected of killing a woman in Boden in northern Sweden last spring is guilty, according to a local court. He will now undergo psychiatric tests to judge whether he should be sentenced to prison or psychiatric care, news agency TT reports.

The woman disappeared last May after having studied in the man's flat. Her body was later found chopped up in a deserted house and nearby forest. Police say they were never in any doubt as to the man's guilt, claiming the technical evidence was strong.

Prosecutors are calling for life imprisonment.
