Man admits to shooting father

A man in his 20s, suspected of murdering his own father on Christmas Eve, has admitted to the shooting, according to tabloid Aftonbladet. The man has been held by police since his arrest, in Lund.

"But that was not the intention, therefore he is denying the crime," says the man's lawyer, Jörgen Rosén to the newspaper.

The father, a 57-year-old university teacher, was found shot to death in a student neighborhood in Lund. The district court of Lund has ruled that his son must undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
