Unemployment slowly falling

The number of lay-offs in Sweden fell in 2013, according to new figures from the Swedish employment service. It says that more people that applied for jobs also got them, with unemployment gradually falling, but from a high level.

"We can see that unemployment is slowly falling and we expect that to continue during 2014", analyst Marwin Nilsson told Swedish Radio News, "we will see decreasing unemployment, but also more job creation" he added.

Just over 400,000 Swedes are currently out of work, slightly less than at the end of 2012.
