Stockholm police confirm man found in car was shot

A man was found dead in a car in the industrial area of Ulvsunda in Bromma, in northwestern Stockholm, on Thursday evening.

Police were alerted just after six in the evening and found a lifeless man in the car, bleeding from the head.

"Several witnesses have been in touch and heard some shots being fired," says Albin Näverberg, spokesperson for the police in Stockholm county, to news agency TT. Police confirm that the man had been shot.

As of Thursday evening, no one had been arrested. Several media reports claim that the victim was a known criminal, however, the police commissioner in Stockholm county, Lars Byström, did not want to comment.
