Lindstedt wins doubles at Australian Open

At the age of 36 Robert Lindstedt has won his first grand-slam title, in the men's doubles at the Australian Open.

Lindstedt and Polish partner Lukaz Kubotm took a convincing victory over Eric Butorac (USA) and Raven Klaasen (South Africa), with 6-3, 6-3.

The Swede had suffered three straight defeats at Wimbledon and was scared to lose again.

"The hardest question, when you've done something good is to say how it feels. You feel amazing. You've put so much work in. It's hard to explain 36 years' worth of happiness in a few sentences", says the winner, with tears in his eyes, to Swedish Radio Sport.

His partner, Lukaz Kubotm, had come in as a replacement, but Lindstedt says they will be playing together again. "It would be tennis suicide to not do it."
