Fire destroys Djurgården Hockey team bus
Djurgården Hockey team's bus was completely destroyed by fire on the E4 south of Nyköping on Sunday. "Noone was injured," said Södermanland police officer Tobias Persson to tabloid Aftonbladet.
Only the driver was on board when the fire occurred shortly before 9 a.m. and he got away unscathed. Djurgården rent the bus, which is marked up with the club's name and logo, from Interbus. According to Tobias Hansen of Södermanland police, the fire spread quickly and the driver never had time to put out the fire.
Jimmy Peterson, media contact for Djurgården Hockey, told news agency TT that the incident did not affect the team. "We'll have to go on another bus." The cause of the blaze is being investigated. The team plays at home against Västerås on Tuesday.
