Henrik Zetterberg, captain of the Swedish ice hockey team, was forced to skip today's training session with the team at the Winter Olympics. Team officials say an old back injury has made itself felt again.

Zetterberg had to miss over a dozen games with his NHL team Detroit Red Wings earlier this season due to the injury, and there are now fears it could put the rest of his Olympic tournament at risk.

Team doctor Björn Waldebäck told tabloid Aftonbladet that Zetterberg is being given medication, but that there is not much the medical team can do.

"This is an injury that has to heal itself, it's all a question of time", he told the newspaper.

Sweden plays Switzerland in the Sochi games tomorrow.
