EU migrants in bus accident en route to Romania

A Romanian tourist bus carrying around 40 passengers skidded off the road in Alvesta, southern Sweden Friday night. Local police told Swedish Radio News that the passengers were the EU migrants who previously lived in a tent camp in the Stockholm suburb of Högdalen.

The migrants left Högdalen after being threatened with eviction and offered free bus tickets to Romania from local social services.

While the assistant bus driver was admitted to hospital in the town of Växjö, there were no other reported injuries. The EU migrants looked set to continue their journey back to Romania on Sunday.
