Sweden wins second cross country relay gold

The Swedish men's team won gold in the cross country relay in Sochi, taking home the second gold medal for Sweden this weekend following the women's win on Saturday.

Lars Nelson led the way to victory, taking the lead in the first stretch, with Johan Olsson keeping up the strong pace in his stretch. Marcus Hellner then crossed the finishing line after a breathless final leg, marking the second time that he wins an Olympic men's relay for Sweden. The Sochi win on Sunday was a delightful repeat of Hellner's previous success in Vancouver.

"What a great national team we have - two gold medals in two days and they are crushing Norway," former Swedish ski champion Torgny Mogren said.

The silver medal went to Russia and the bronze to France.

Sweden's Olympic medal count in Sochi is now two golds, five silvers and two bronzes.
