Roma tent camp is cleared in Högdalen

City authorities in Stockholm started clearing up what was left of a Roma camp in southern Stockholm Monday morning, but most of the inhabitants had already moved on, news agency TT reports.

Over 100 Roma from Romania had set up camp in the Högdalen area of Stockholm, with no sewage system or sanitary facilities.

The Stockholm council offered the residents free bus tickets back to Romania, which some accepted. Others have now moved on to another camp in Huddinge, further away from the city centre.
