Öresund trains among most expensive in Europe

Commuters between Copenhagen in Denmark and Malmö in southern Sweden are travelling on the second most expensive bit of railway in Europe, measured in ticket price per kilometre, newspaper Sydsvenskan reports.

Only the Eurostar between London and Brussels is more expensive per kilomtre, according to a study by the International Union of Railways.

Ticket prices between Stockholm and Gothenburg are the third most expensive in Europe.

A single ticket from Malmö to Copenhagen costs around SEK 105 for a journey lasting 35 minutes.
