Policeman stole and sold uniforms online

A former police officer has been fined for selling police jackets, uniforms and pants on an auction site online. The officer was responsible for incinerating the clothes but tried to sell them instead, news agency TT reports.

The district court considered the crime a serious offence as the clothes could have made it into the hands of criminals who could have used them to impersonate police officers to commit crimes. The former policeman has been ordered to pay 140 day-fines for the crime.
