"Nurse" suspected of stealing prescription drugs

A 46-year-old nurse is suspected of having gone from one hospital to another pretending to work there in order to steal prescription painkillers and other opiate drugs, tabloid Aftonbladet reports. Wearing her normal work clothes and a name tag she told people she was a new member of staff at the different hospitals in order to gain access to the drugs.

When apprehended by police the woman was carrying hypodermic needles and syringes. The police found a number of different nurse's uniforms with different name tags in her house along with empty boxes of morphine. She is suspected of stealing drugs from at least two hospitals in Stockholm and from several more hospitals in central Sweden. If found guilty, the nurse may lose her license.
