Cold snap saves Vasaloppet ski race

It looks like the long distance skiing race Vasaloppet will be held this weekend after all. The race has been threatened by unseasonally warm weather, but a cold snap has moved in over the county of Dalarna just in time to save the world famous race.

At a press conference Wednesday, race chiefs announced the race would still go ahead this weekend, as long as temperatures do not rise anymore, and with this cold snap moving in the race has been the official green light from the organisers.

The world famous race has been held since 1922.
