The Knife wins Nordic Music Prize

The Swedish electronic music duo The Knife won the annual Nordic Music Prize for their album "Shaking the Habitual". This is the third year straight that the prize goes to a Swedish artist.

The jury motivated their decision by saying that "this year's winner is radical on so many levels. Lyrically, visually and politically. It's a brave and challenging work of art".

The prize is awarded by the Nordic Council and was established in 2010 to showcase music from the Nordic region and strengthen the bond between musicians in the region.

Last year's winner was First Aid Kit.
