IPCC: Climate change can be slowed

4:45 min

The IPCC has presented the third and final report about what can be done to slow down climate change.

It declares that the goal of global temperatures only rising by two degrees Celsius this century can be reached, but that it will demand the use of new technologies and concerted efforts.

One of the authors of the report was Swede Thomas Sterner, who is a professor of environmental economics at Gothenburg University.

Speaking to Radio Sweden, he says "The real news is that the whole world is agreed on this and it is positive because the most important thing is that we have global cooperation on this."
