Trains back on track again

Train traffic is back on track sooner than expected after Monday's copper theft from electric cables.

Since six o'clock on Tuesday morning, trains between the Stockholm suburb of Bålsta and Enköping are up and running again. On Monday there was a complete halt on this stretch of track, as essential copper had been stolen from the electric cables, effecting long distance trains between Stockholm and places like Västerås, Örebro and Gothenburg.

But the fears that it would take until lunchtime tuesday to fix the problem turns out to have been proven unfounded.
