One in three Swedes victims of cybercrime

One in three Swedes have been the victim of some form of cybercrime in the past 12 months, that's according to a survey conducted by polling agency SIFO on behalf of cyber security company Kaspersky Lab.

Half of these cases were related to so-called phishing emails, Swedish news agency TT reports.

One in five had their computer, phone or tablet infected by a virus.

And seven per cent of those asked, said that their email accounts had been used to send spam or malicious programmes to their contacts.

Four out of ten of those surveyed however said that responsibility for online security lies primarily with individual users.
