More overdoses of "Spice" on Gotland

Two more people on the island of Gotland have been taken to the hospital unconscious, likely having been poisoned by the drug "spice", a designer drug intended to simulate cannabis.

The two people, a man and a woman, were founded unconscious in a home on the northern part of the island on Wednesday morning. According to the police's website, the drug was also found there.

The day before, three people were taken to the hospital in Visby, and last week, more than ten people needed treatment after using the drug.

The Gotland police deem the situation to be very serious, and on the police's Facebook page, inspector Conny Johansson writes that the drug is at all of Gotland's secondary and high schools to some degree.

Earlier this year, Swedish Radio News reported that of the hundred or so kinds of Spice, only about 30 are illegal in Sweden.
