Rail service up again after shut down

Rail service is up and running again Sunday evening after a fault in an overhead wire shut down the tracks between Karlskrona and Emmaboda, news agency TT reports.

The stop came about on Saturday when a problem with the wire's electrical insulators prevented trains from traveling. Replacement buses were deployed along the route to keep passengers moving.

Traffic officials thought they would have service up and running by Saturday night but the repair work took longer than expected. In the end, the first train began running shortly before 3:45 p.m.
