Several police units are now hunting for the two suspects, and there was a car found parked next to the fence. But Kia Samrell, from Stockholm police, told newspaper Expressen that they are no longer certain that the car is related to the incident.
"This is a police matter now and they are searching the area with dogs," Ulf Wallin, press spokesperson for Swedavia, which runs the airport, told Swedish Radio News.
According to Wallin, the possible intrusion has so far not interrupted flight traffic.
The police hunt has now ended. Police told news ageny TT that have found the two men and that the men are employed at the airport and are authorized to be there.
