Restaurants to list allergy ingredients

It will soon be easier for people with allergies to order food as the National Food Agency has decided that Swedish restaurants must list content like gluten, eggs and peanuts on menus.

The new rules will come into force on December 13th. Restaurants may list on their menus ingredients that can trigger allergic reactions or, alternatively, servers can inform customers before they order.

Pre-packed meals will have to carry labels providing the same information.
