Alliance parties meet to assess the situation

The leaders of the four Alliance parties are currently meeting to assess the situation after a new election has been called, the tabloid Expressen reports.

The newspaper has seen Annie Lööf, leader of the Centre Party, Jan Björklund, leader of the liberal party, and Göran Hägglund, leader of the Christian Democrats, walking in the direction of the parliamentary offices of the conservative Moderate Party.

Jan Björklund told the paper they would get back to the paper with comments.

On Twitter, Centre Party leader Annie Lööf announced a cheerful: "Stefan Löfven has thrown in the red towel. We don't hesitate to take the fight. Look forward to meeting the voters on the 22nd of March for a better Sweden."

A press conference by the four parties has been announced for 7.30 pm this evening.
