Bomb threat issued to four court houses

Four district courts throughout Sweden were the subject of a bomb threat on Thursday morning, reports news agency TT.

A caller to the courts' common switchboard explained that a bomb would be placed at one of the district courts in Gothenburg, Malmö, Stockholm or Uppsala.

"I can confirm that some form of threat occured," Ulla Brehm, a press officer with the police in Västra Götaland, told TT, adding that the police were in contact with the district court in Gothenburg, but that at the moment, there was no activity happening with that case.

No time or specific place was specified in the phone call, but Brehm said that the police in Stockholm did not feel there was a risk that the threat would be carried out, based on the information they had.

Late Sunday night, a justice center in Malmö was bombed.
