Egyptian travel advisory reduced

The Swedish Foreign Ministry has reduced its warning against travel to Egypt. It no longer advises against all travel to the resort area Sharm el-Sheikh in Sinai, only against “unnecessary travel”, which includes tourism, but not business travel.

The warning not to travel at all in the rest of the Sinai peninsula continues.

Moreover, there is no longer an advisory against travel to or between Cairo and Alexandria, to the Red Sea tourist resorts, or to the Nile Valley between Luxor and Abu Simbel.
