Women skiers take first medal at Alpine World Ski Championships

Sweden has taken its first medal, a bronze, at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail, Colorado.

Maria Pietilä Holmner, Anna Swenn-Larsson, Mattias Hargin and André Myhrer won a bronze medal in a team parallel slalom event. Sweden beat out the team from Switzerland to take the bronze. Austria took gold in the event, and Canada took silver.

The Swedes will have another chance at a medal on Thursday in the "Ladies' Giant Slalom."
