"Wild Kids" wins Emmy

The Swedish TV program “Wild Kids” won an International Kids Emmy Award in New York Friday evening. It’s the first time a Swedish children’s program has won an Emmy.

“Wild Kids” took the prize in the non-scripted entertainment category. The head of SVT’s Barnkanalen, Safa Safiyari, told the TT news agency the award shows that Sweden can make world class children’s programs.

“Wild Kids” is one of SVT’s most popular children’s programs, and features teams of 10 to 12 year olds competing at an animal park.
