Pilots threaten Norwegian strike

Swedish pilots working for the airline Norwegian have announced they are to go on strike from March 4th, unless the company manages to reach a deal with their Norwegian colleagues by then.

The company wants to cut costs by introducing more flexible employment rules, news agency TT reports, something the Norwegian pilots oppose. They have announced a walkout from February 28th, and their Swedish colleagues say they will also walk out one week later if no compromise is reached.

Norwegian flies to destinations ranging from Copenhagen to New York and Bangkok from seven Swedish airports.
