Spying against Sweden on the increase

According to a new report, military activities around Sweden have intensified following the crisis in Ukraine.

The report for 2014, from the Swedish Military Intelligence and Security Service, also notes an increase in IT threats, and the growth of international terrorism because of the fighting in Syria and Iraq.

The head of the agency, Gunnar Karlson, tells Swedish Radio News that in the wake of the Ukraine crisis they are seeing foreign intelligence agencies more active in gathering intelligence on Sweden’s defences.
