Sweden loses Bandy World Championship to Russia

Sweden lost the Bandy World Championship to Russia, on Saturday morning in Khabarovsk, Russia, with the final score standing at 5-3.

It seemed like the Swedes had a gold in the bag when Patrick Nilsson scored with just five minutes left, according to news agency TT, giving Sweden what seemed to be a secure lead, 3-1. However, the Russian team answered back with two quick goals in just one minute, and after that, Pavel Rjazantsev scored, giving Russia the lead, and Maksim Isjkeldin scored the final goal.

This is the third time in a row that Sweden lost the Bandy World Championship to Russia.
