Lidström enters Hockey Hall of Fame

Sweden’s Nicklas Lidström was elected to the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame Monday as one of seven new members for 2015.

Lidström won the Norris Trophy as the National Hockey League’s best defenseman seven times. He spent his entire 20 season NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings, and helped them win the Stanley Cup four times.

Lidström is the fourth Swede to enter the Hockey Hall of Fame, joining Börje Salming, Mats Sundin and Peter Forsberg.
