Suspected Haga man attackers detained again

The three young men suspected of assaulting the convicted serial rapist known as the Haga man, have been detained a second time.

Two of the men have conceded to an extension of the prosecution and one of them was detained on Friday. He will be held until September 25th, according to the Haparanda district court.

"Haga man" was attacked in August, soon after being released from prison. He was convicted of nine counts of sexual assault in 2006, two of which were labeled attempted murder.

Before Haga man's release, the Umeå district court overturned the parole board's decision to ban him from the northern city where he committed his crimes.
