Swedish mine-clearance expert injured in Somalia

A Swedish mine-clearance expert has been seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Somalia, writes expressen.se.

The man was said to be travelling in an armoured vehicle when it went over a landmine on Wednesday.

The Swedish Ambassador in Mogadishu has met the injured man at the hospital, according to the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, who would not comment on the extent of his injuries.

The Swede's wife confirmed that her husband is employed as a consultant in a business and is working on assignments for the United Nations.
