What's it like being nominated for a P3 Guld award and from where do this year's nominees draw their musical inspiration?

Radio Sweden talked to three of this year's nominees - rapper Erik Lundin, electronic pop star Little Jinder and minimalist rockers Pale Honey - about their reactions to their nominations and thoughts on their music.

P3 Guld awards have been organized and handed out by Swedish Radio's youth channel P3 since 2003. Past Swedish nominees range from mainstream pop stars to angry punk rockers and cutting edge hip hop artists.

The prize has nine different categories, with five nominees in each. There's the "Artist of the Year", "Band of the year" and "Song of the year" categories, but also "Performer of the Year" and "Newcomer of the year". Listeners get to vote for who ultimately wins, however, special juries select the nominees.
