Nearly 450 films are set to be screened in Gothenburg over the next week during the biggest film festival in the Nordic region.

The 39th installment of the film festival got underway Friday night in Sweden’s second city and can attract more than 130,000 visitors to its screening and seminars.

The year's festival focuses on pictures coming from Italy, Nigeria as well as the unlikely category of TV dramas. Jonas Holmberg, the artistic director for the festival, says there are many ways to experience and enjoy the week.
