Swedes pay second highest amount into the EU

Swedes pay roughly SEK 2,600 into the EU budget each year, including the money that the country gets back in subsidies, according to online news site europaportalen.se.

The only EU citizens who pay more into the EU budget on average are the Dutch, who paid the equivalent of SEK 3,600 per person in 2014.

In total, Germany pays for the largest share of the EU budget and Poland receives the most subsidies, according to the news site.
