Swedish Response To Bombings

Following Thursday’s terror attacks in London, Sweden will beef up its security on its transport system.

SL, the company responsible for running trains both under and overground in Stockholm, said it has an emergency response plan in place if such a crisis was to happen here.

In neighbouring Denmark meanwhile, police in Copenhagen were on duty at train and subway stations, and amusement parks after a purported claim of responsibility for the London bombings included threats against Denmark. The country has twice before been threatened by previously unknown groups for its role in Iraq.

The Swedish Muslim cleric council also condemned the blasts. Hassan Moussa said the ”barbaric action could not be accepted by normal people, regardless of what culture or religion one belongs to.”
