Forest fires continue to rage along wide fronts throughout the country.
The fires brought on by the hot and dry summer conditions, are being fuelled by the thousands of hectares of trees felled in January’s freak storms.
The trees are also making it more difficult for firemen to reach the flames - and as a result the fire services are reporting that many fires are still out of control.
Military helicopters have also been brought in - and continue to dump water onto the flames.
Worst hit is the southern Swedish provinces of Småland and Blekinge - where some fires have been burning for several days.
But other fires are being tackled in Götaland, Värmland, Halland, Darlarna and along the Northern coastal areas.
The fires are not currently threatening any inhabited areas - but the fire department and emergency services the length and breadth of the country are encouraging the public to be extra careful with barbeques and naked lights.
