The English-language theater group the Stockholm Players - which is celebrating its 50th birthday - is behind the production.
Esther Edlundh-Rose has been a member of the group for 15 years and is the director of the play. She says its central message of examining the assumptions people make about others is a relevant one for today's world.
"It's about racial identity, racial stereotyping," she told Radio Sweden, "our prejudices and preconceived ideas that we have. The issues with integration that all of these prejudices cause."
