Orback Breaks Silence on Centre Against Racism

Minister for Integration Jens Orback has finally broken his silence as the Swedish Centre Against Racism continues to be under fire here.

Orback says that accusations against the center are ”serious” and that an inquiry should be started as soon as possible.

An investigation by the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet has reported a lack of financial control and internal conflicts at the Center, as well as cases of sexual harassment, and accusations that the group is under the control of the ruling Social Democrats and their Green Party partners.

The Centre Against Racism hit the headlines earlier this year for its criticism of a Swedish ice cream called Nogger Black.
