The murder case of the man kicked to death in a Stockholm street sparked controversy here about why people who passed by and witnessed the attack didn’t get involved.
The killing took place on Kungsgatan in central Stockholm, after the 29 year old told three young men to stop urinating in the entrance of a building. The three suspects then supposedly chased him and beat him to death.
During the trial several witnesses changed their testimony, and the three suspects are now free pending a verdict.
The accused men’s families cheered as the court announced that they would be released.
Sentencing should be handed down by the beginning of next week.
