Säpo: Terror threat against Sweden on social media

Säpo: People should go about their business as usual
1:17 min

Sweden's security service, Säpo, is investigating a terrorism threat in Stockholm. Measures have been taken but the terror threat level has not been raised.

Nina Odermalm Schei, head of communications at Säpo told TT that threats like this come in every other day, but that the difference with this one is that it is being spread on social media. Säpo has not raised the terror threat level, which stands at 3 on a scale of 5.

Justice minister Morgan Johansson told TT that both Säpo and the police are working with this very actively. Chief of police, Dan Eliasson, said that the police found out about the threat within the last 24 hours, adding that law enforcement has taken the necessary steps.
