Ellinor Persson is flying back home to Sweden today with a curious trophy after winning the 24th World Porridge Making Championships in Scotland.
The two-time Swedish national porridge champion from Påarp in southern Sweden, took the coveted title of World Porridge Making Champion at the weekend, beating competition from a 23-strong international line-up in the Scottish Highlands.
Using only the traditional ingredients allowed in the competition- salt, oatmeal and water, the mother-of-two came out on top with the judges for taste, consistency and colour.

Per Carlsson made it a Swedish clean sweep, winning the Speciality prize for his Nordic Caramel Sweet and Sour dish, using cloudberries and orange peel.
