"Swedish icon" Rikard Wolff dies

Published fredag 17 november 2017 kl 14.55

One of Sweden's best loved actors and singers, Rikard Wolff, has died at the age of 59.

Speaking to Swedish Radio's Erika Mårtensson shortly after Wolff's Death was announced, film director and friend Colin Nutley described Wolff as a "Swedish icon".

"Rikard was a Swedish icon and always will be. He was fantastic to work with," Nutley said.

"There was nothing bad you could say about Rikard ... a guy full of love and warmth. He was a wonderful friend," Nutley added.

Wolff acted in a large number of theatre productions, although is perhaps best known for his role in the film "Änglagård" directed by Nutley.
