The European Medicines Agency will not move to Stockholm, which did not make it through to the second round of voting.

Stockholm was one of 16 candidate cities hoping to host the European Medicines Agency, after the agency is due to move from London because of Brexit.

But Stockholm did not make it through to the second round of voting, and ended up in sixth place.

"We are of course disappointed, because we believe that Stockholm and Sweden would have been a very good host country for EMA," Christer Asp, the ambassador for the Swedish bid, told Radio Sweden.

Copenhagen, Milan and Amsterdam went through to the second round, and in the end, Amsterdam won the final vote.
