4:06 min

The widespread condemnation of the suspected arson attack against a synagogue in Gothenburg on Saturday shows a shift in how politicians deal with antisemitism, says the chairman of the Swedish Committee against Antisemitism.

Three people are in custody in Gothenburg, suspected of attempted arson at a synagogue in Gothenburg on Saturday night, where a youth celebration was taking place.

The reaction was very forceful, it was very quick and it was very clear,"

Svante Weyler, the chairman of the Swedish Committee against Antisemitism notes that the widespread condemnation differs from how similar incidents have been treated in the past.
