"Serious threat" forces Malmö University to close

2:16 min

Malmö University will stay closed on Monday, the first day of term, following a "serious threat" received by e-mail on December 29th. Students and staff have been asked to work from home.

The message was sent to an administration e-mail address just before midnight on December 29th, but was only discovered four days later, on Tuesday January 2nd, after the Christmas break.

The university's security officer, Leif Wulff, confirmed that there would be increased monitoring across campus as well as access restrictions in place.
