Sharp rise in asylum applications from Georgia

The number of people seeking asylum in Sweden from Georgia has doubled to 200, but chances are small they will be granted asylum.

Of the applications submitted by Georgians that the Migration Agency looked at in 2017, none of them received asylum.

Kristoffer Eriksson, an analyst at the Migration Agency, explains to Swedish Radio why this is the case.
