UN Children's Convention becomes Swedish law

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has been voted into Swedish law by the Parliament, but there is debate over whether it will make a difference when it comes into effect in 2020.

The Social Democrat-Green government and three other parties voted in favour, but critics say the move will have no effect, and the Convention will be hard to interpret in the Swedish legal system.
